Royal Leamington Spa Games Art students have teamed up with legal law firm Wright Hassall as part of their tech week.

Gaming experts are teaching the next generation of tech professionals the tricks of the trade in the gaming industry’s hub of Silicon Spa.

Leading Midlands law firm Wright Hassall has invited the future of the gaming industry to hear from the experts as part of their Tech Week events, highlighting the impact of technology on different industries.

Students will be hearing from Andrew Oliver of Game Dragons and Graham Watson of Third Kind Games at Wright Hassall’s office in Leamington Spa on Friday, September 27, who will talk about setting up your own gaming business.

The event is part of the firm’s wider Tech Week events, which will showcase how technology is impacting the legal and business worlds and will include topics such as artificial intelligence and legal technology, financial technology, agriculture technology and property technology across the week.  

Keynote speakers will feature experts across these sectors including Derek Southall, CEO of Hyperscale Group, Vik Tara, MD of Technology Blueprint, Elizabeth Basten and Richard Marshall from Wealth Wizards, Simon Davis, Co-Founder of Nimbus Maps, Stephanie Vaughan of iManage RAVN and Robert Lillywhite, Assistant Professor from the School of Life Sciences at University of Warwick, with each sector session chaired by lawyers at Wright Hassall.

Jeremy Hyde, Tech Week lead at Wright Hassall said: “We’re thrilled to be inviting students along to hear from these industry experts and to be able to present their own projects to demo as well.

Students at WCG will also be bringing along a VR kit to showcase a two-player rowing game they made last year.
